ATP Online and E-tickets, the easiest way to fly.

Travel by plane has got a new dimension with the introduction of E-tickets. At the moment there are several airlines offering this facility. In the near future the number of airlines participating will expand rapidly. With an E-ticket you will no longer need the normal 'paper' ticket. Therefore it will not only be easier and faster to make your airlinereservations, but you do not have to worry that you will not receive your ticket in time. An E-ticket cannot be stolen or lost.

Can you explain to me what an E-ticket is?
As a passenger with an electronic ticket, or E-ticket, you are entitled to the same conditions and services as the passanger with the conventional 'paper' ticket. All flight details are stored in the electronic database of the airlines. The only paperwork that you need is an itinerary and a receipt for customs authorities and immigration services. If you lose the original itinerary, a new copy can be printed very easily.

What more information do I need before travelling ?

What does the itinerary / receipt look like?
The itinerary/receipt contains all information which you will also find in a normal 'paper' ticket, such as the 'Passenger Notices' (Warsaw Convention)

Which traveldocuments do I need if I travel with an international E-ticket?
Each passenger travelling with an international E-ticket needs the same traveldocuments as passengers with 'normal' tickets (passports / visa etc.). Passengers travelling with an E-ticket also need their itinerary / receipt.

What will happen to my luggage?
You luggage will be checked-in as usual.

When can I make reservation for an E-ticket?
An E-ticket can be bought anytime before departure.

Is it possible to change my itinerary after reservation?
Yes, but changes are always subject to the conditions of the fare booked. It depends on the new itinerary and fare whether you will receive a new e-ticket, or if a paper ticket has to be issued.

Summarising:

  • You will make your reservation as usual and receive an itinerary / receipt.
  • You go to the airport and check-in as usual. Upon showing your proof of identity (e.g. passport) you will receive the boardingpass.
  • At security checks and immigration you will have to show your passport, boardingpass and also your itinerary / receipt if asked for. In case of cancellation of a flight you will be rebooked to the first available flight, if this is a flight with an other airline, which does not support e-ticketing yet, a paper ticket will be issued.
  • At the gate you will hand over your boardingpass.
  • Upon arrival you will pass immigration as usual. The itinerary / receipt serves as proof of your returnflight.
